- No real or recalled exam questions. Please never send us any.
- Education only, not medical advice or a prescribing reference.
- Personal, non-commercial use. No copying or scraping.
- No guarantee of exam results.
- Optional accounts are available; donations and paid plans may be added later, and the rules for them are already here.
1. Our purpose
TDMPrep exists to help physicians prepare well, practise better and make sound, safe therapeutic decisions, so that a new generation of doctors can work independently and confidently, and contribute to better health care for patients, communities and provinces across Canada. We keep these Terms in that spirit: to keep the Services fair, honest and useful for everyone who studies with them.
2. Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of TDMPrep, the Study Guide Notes site, the audio, flashcards, practice cases, mock exams and any related pages (together, the “Services”), operated as TDMPrep (“we”, “us”).
By opening or using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
3. Not affiliated with the Medical Council of Canada
The Services are independent. They are not created, reviewed, endorsed, sponsored or approved by the Medical Council of Canada (“MCC”), Prometric, or any examination body, regulator or licensing authority.
“Medical Council of Canada”, “MCC”, “Therapeutic Decision Making”, “TDM” and related names and marks belong to their owners. We use them only to describe the examination for which our material is intended to help people prepare. Links to MCC and other third-party sites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for them.
4. Exam integrity: no real or recalled exam content
The MCC prohibits reproducing, sharing or disclosing examination content, including from memory, and prohibits third parties from using or soliciting content from candidates. We support that rule.
- Our cases, questions, flashcards and notes are intended to be original educational material written from publicly available clinical guidelines, product monographs and standard references. They are not actual, copied or recalled MCC examination questions, and are not represented as such.
- It is our policy not to publish, request or accept actual or recalled MCC examination content, and we remove any item that is reasonably identified as such.
- Do not send us exam content. If you have sat or are about to sit an MCC examination, do not email, upload, post or otherwise disclose any question, answer choice, case, image or other content from that examination to us or through the Services. We will not read, use or keep it, and we may delete it and co-operate with the MCC if asked.
- You remain solely responsible for complying with the MCC’s examination rules, candidate agreement and security policy, including any rules on study materials. Using the Services does not exempt you from them.
- If you believe anything on the Services reproduces confidential examination material, tell us at tdmcanadian@gmail.com and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it promptly (see “Copyright and content complaints” below).
5. Educational use only; not medical advice
The Services are study aids for people preparing for a licensing examination. They are not medical advice, a clinical decision-support tool or a prescribing reference, and must never be used to diagnose, treat or manage a real patient.
Exam answers reflect the exam-style convention of choosing a single best option and may differ from what is appropriate for an individual patient. Clinical content may be incomplete, simplified or out of date. Always confirm doses, interactions, contraindications and monitoring against current Canadian product monographs, the Compendium of Therapeutic Choices, Health Canada and the relevant guideline bodies, and use your own professional judgment.
Do not enter any patient-identifying information anywhere on the Services. We do not provide places to do so.
6. No guarantee of exam results
We do not guarantee that using the Services will lead to any result on any examination, to licensure, or to any score. Practice scores, timers, mock exams and performance pages are for self-study only and do not predict or reflect actual exam performance or content, difficulty or format, which the MCC may change at any time. Check the MCC website for official information.
7. Permitted use and your conduct
We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your own non-commercial study. You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, harvest, mirror, republish, resell, sublicense or redistribute the Services or their content, in whole or in substantial part, or use it for commercial purposes or to train or fine-tune machine-learning models, without our written permission;
- use bots, crawlers or automated tools to access or extract content, or circumvent any technical limit, or interfere with the operation or security of the Services;
- remove or alter copyright, attribution or disclaimer notices;
- submit, post or share any actual or recalled examination content, or encourage anyone else to;
- present the Services or their content as your own, or as official MCC material;
- use the Services to cheat, to help another person cheat, or in breach of any examination rules; or
- use the Services unlawfully or in any way that could harm us or others.
Sharing a link to the Services with colleagues is fine.
8. Intellectual property and third-party material
Except as stated below, the Services and their content, design, text, flashcards, generated images and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Some clinical photographs are used under open licences (for example Creative Commons from Wikimedia Commons) and carry their own credit and licence terms next to the image; those terms apply to that material. ECG tracings shown on the Services are computer-generated illustrations. Drug names, brand names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only for identification.
9. Accounts and saved data
The Services do not require an account. Optional accounts are available, and your progress, flags, saved sessions, notes and preferences are still kept in your own browser on your device (see the Privacy Policy). If you create an account, the following applies:
- You must give accurate information, be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live), and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One account is for one person. Do not share, sell, transfer or lend your account, login or paid access to anyone else, or use another person’s.
- Tell us promptly at tdmcanadian@gmail.com if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, is used for scraping or resale, or presents a security risk. You may close your account at any time.
- Where accounts store your progress on our servers, we will tell you so, and the Privacy Policy will explain what is kept.
10. Paid features, subscriptions and payments
TDMPrep memberships are offered as 1-month, 2-month, 3-month and 6-month plans. These terms apply to every membership, together with the price and plan details shown at checkout:
- November 2026 offer. Anyone who creates an account or signs in by December 5, 2026 (11:59 pm Mountain time) gets 30 days of full access at no charge, counted from their first sign-in, with no card required. One time only, once per person; it cannot be combined with the 7-day trial below.
- 7-day trial. A membership started after December 5, 2026 begins with a 7-day trial. Your card is checked at sign-up but not charged until day 8. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. One trial per person.
- Billing. When the trial (or, for November sign-ups, the free month) ends, you are charged the full price of the plan you chose for the plan’s whole period (for example, the 3-month plan bills once for 3 months).
- Prices and taxes. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise and exclude GST and any other applicable taxes, which are added at checkout.
- Payment processing. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number. The processor’s own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
- Subscriptions. Unless the checkout says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked on the Membership page, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. We will tell you in advance, as required by law, before a price change or an automatic renewal takes effect.
- Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise or the checkout states a different refund or trial policy, fees are non-refundable and we do not refund partial periods. Nothing here limits your rights under the Alberta Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer law.
- Failed or disputed payments. We may suspend paid access if a payment fails, is reversed or is disputed. Please contact us first to fix a billing problem.
- Digital access only. Paid access is a licence to use the Services for your own study, subject to these Terms. It does not transfer ownership of any content, and it does not change the rules on exam content, sharing and resale.
- Changes to paid plans. We may change or discontinue paid features with reasonable notice. If we discontinue a paid feature you have already paid for, we will refund the unused prepaid portion.
- Marketing email. We will send promotional email only with your consent, and every such message will include a way to unsubscribe. Account and billing messages are not marketing.
11. Copyright and content complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright or other rights, or reproduces confidential examination material, email tdmcanadian@gmail.com with: your name and contact details; a description and the web address (URL) of the content; why you believe it is a problem; and, for a rights complaint, a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
We will acknowledge and review complaints promptly and may remove or disable access to the content while we do so. We may share a complaint with the person who is responsible for the content, as required by law. We may terminate access for people who repeatedly breach these Terms.
12. Availability, changes and ending access
The Services may change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn at any time, with or without notice. Features, cases and notes may be added, corrected or removed, which may change your saved progress or links. We may suspend or block access to anyone who breaches these Terms or whose use puts the Services or others at risk.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currency, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that content is free of errors.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our operators, contributors and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, opportunity, reputation, examination attempts, fees or licensure, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services, even if advised of the possibility.
To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims is limited to CAD $100. We are never liable for any clinical decision, patient outcome, or reliance on the content for patient care.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including under consumer-protection law.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your breach of any examination body’s rules, or your misuse of the Services.
16. Governing law and disputes
We operate from Alberta, Canada. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else, such as a consumer in your own province.
Please contact us first at tdmcanadian@gmail.com so that we can try to resolve any concern informally.
17. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. You may not assign them; we may. The parties have expressly asked that these Terms be written in English. Les parties ont expressément exigé que les présentes conditions soient rédigées en anglais.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it. For material changes we will make reasonable efforts to highlight the change on the Services.
